Bill Max Harris, age 77, of Henrietta, NC, died Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at Hospice House of Rutherford County.
Born June 26, 1937 in Rutherford County, he was the son of the late Raleigh Harris and Lona Mae Lowery. Bill worked for AGI Industries for several years and attended Friendship Baptist Church. He enjoyed working on and driving race cars. Bill was also an avid NASCAR fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Brenda Costner.
Survivors include one son, Kenny Harris and wife, Lisa of Waxhaw, NC; two daughters, Robin Houser of Ellenboro and Lynda Potter and husband, Andy of Mooresboro; two sisters, Nell Horton of Forest City and Madge Eure of Fuquay Varina, NC. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 23, 2014 with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
