Mrs. Doris Julia Martin Parker, 85, of Lawndale, passed away on Monday, June 6, 2011. Services were held at David’s Chapel United Methodist Church. Burial was held in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, George Gold Martin and Mary Elizabeth Gantt Martin. 

She is survived by her husband of 64 years, Robert Morgan Parker; two sons, David Parker and wife Kathy of Lawndale; Charles “Chuck”  Parker and wife Marsha of Hickory; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
