“Ricky” James Henry Hill, age 63, of Rutherfordton, NC, died Saturday, February 16, 2013 at Rutherford Regional Medical Center. He was a resident at the Holly Springs Senior Citizens Home.
Ricky was born April 28, 1949 in Gaston County, NC to the late Carl Hill and Marcelle Duncan Hill. He worked in manufacturing for several years and attended Forest City Foursquare Church. He loved to read his bible and enjoyed watching old westerns, NASCAR and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ronald Bruce Hill and one sister, Judy Faye Powell.
Survivors include his brother, Larry D. Hill and wife, Karen of Inman, SC.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at the Forest City Foursquare Church with Reverend Ricky Poteat and Reverend Pete Bridges officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the services at the church. The body will lie in state one hour prior to service time at the church.
