Come celebrate the second annual Grover Pumpkin Festival this Saturday, Oct. 27th. There is no admission charge to what is being billed as North Carolina’s newest tradition. The activities begin at 12 noon and go until 8 p.m.

This hand assembled 2012 COPO Chevrolet Camaro was just one of 69 built and is owned by Daren Poole-Adams of Lattimore. COPO (Central Office Production Order) Camaros have no vin number, are not street legal and are intended for drag racing.
Saturday, October 20th, Poplar Springs Baptist Church held it’s monthly all you can eat Community Breakfast. The breakfast sponsors the youth programs for the church.
Don’t be surprised to see Spiderman, Cinderella or Casper the Friendly Ghost gathering in downtown Kings Mountain as the City hosts the annual “Great Pumpkin Halloween Parade” on Wednesday, October 31.

The retirees were on Lake Norman last week and John Black fished solo and picked up the win. He had 12.10 and he also took big bass honors with a 3.30 largemouth. Tommy Wess and James Haynes had 7.55 and took second. David O’Shields and J R Henry landed in third with 6.60.

Raising Awareness, Celebrating Life...
The Cancer Center at Cleveland Regional Medical Center is observing Breast Cancer Awareness month by hosting it’s annual Pink Ribbon Tea on Saturday, October 27, 2012.
An all-county orchestra including approximately 50 students from three high schools will perform in concert on Oct. 30 in Malcolm Brown Auditorium. The concert begins at 7 p.m. and is free and open to the public.
A birthday party was held at Cleveland Child Development Center for one of the most popular dogs on the planet, PBS Kids’ Clifford “The Big Red Dog”. The special event was held on Friday, Oct. 19th and featured drawings of Clifford from each child.
