 The Cleveland County Arts Council is pleased and excited to announce that the 11th Annual Art of Sound Music Festival will return this year a month earlier – Sept. 19 through 21.  The Arts Council Board of Directors and Festival organizers feel that the move will allow the Festival to return to its roots of showcasing excellence in the work of all types of musicians from the local area and beyond.

The retirees were on Lake Norman this week and reports that part of the lake is turning over which made for some tough fishing. John Black and Roger McNeely picked up the win again with a total of 8.9. They also had big bass of the day with a 3.0 largemouth. James Osborne and Ray Hembree took second with 8.3 and Ronnie Humphries was third with 4.3.  This week the codgers head to Lake Wylie and hope to have better catches to report.
