The 58th annual Shelby Hamfest ,”Grand Daddy of them All”, was held at the Cleveland County Fairgrounds on Labor Day Weekend, August 30 & 31. Hourly prizes were given away on both days, as well as a main prize each day. Mike Fisher, from Mt. Airy, Maryland, who was selling coax and accessories said: “Saturday was the best and biggest day for sells.” He’s been coming to the Shelby Hamfest for the past eight years and was born in Shelby. The Hamfest is sponsored by the Shelby Amateur Radio Club.    Mike Fisher of Fisher Cable examines coax cable that he was selling at the Hamfest.
