Alma Belle Grigg Tallent, 88, of Rehobeth Church Rd., Shelby, passed away
Sunday, May 19, 2019 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.

Born October 24, 1930 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Pinkney Bess Grigg and Zelia Belle Champion Grigg. She was a homemaker and
member of Charity Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, J.C.
Tallent; son, Monte Tallent; brother, Zeb Grigg and three sisters, Jean
Harper, Vangie Crowder and Leila Grigg.

Survivors include one son, Dale Tallent and wife Cheryl of Shelby; two
daughters, Cathy Mosteller and husband David and Michelle Pittman and
husband Ray all of Shelby; daughter-in-law. Janice Tallent of Rock Hill, SC;
seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and eight great great
grandchildren and one on the way.

The visitation will be 1:00PM until 2:00PM Tuesday at Union Baptist Church.

The funeral service will be 2:00PM Tuesday at Union Baptist Church with Rev.
Michael Shumate officiating.

Burial will follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
