Annie Loree Newton Blanton, 84, of 1607 Rehobeth Church Road, Shelby passed
away Monday, February 5, 2018 at Hospice at Wendover.

Born December 17, 1933 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late
Roy Everette Newton and Ollie Lawson Newton. She was retired from PPG
Industries and was a member of Union Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, John
Newton.

Survivors include two sons, David Spivey of Lawndale and Jeff Spivey and
wife Mona of Lawndale; three daughters, Carolyn Newton of Polkville, Rita
Henderson and husband Charlie of Greenville, SC and Gail Jones and husband
Rick of Lawndale; five brothers, Bobby Newton of Charleston, SC, Charles
Newton of Mooresboro, Dewey Newton of Crestview, Florida, James Newton of
Shelby, and Roger Newton of Tennessee; a sister, Linda Wright of Shelby;
five grandchildren, Loree Hartzog, Jason McSwain, Dylan Spivey, Taylor
Spivey, and Morgan Jolley; and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral
Home. At other times the family will be at 1607 Rehobeth Church Road,
Shelby NC 28150.

The Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM, Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home
Chapel with Rev. Robert Goins officiating.

Burial will follow in Cleveland Memorial Park, Boiling Springs
