Campus Crusade for Christ at CCC & Christ Covenant Ministries
Campus Crusade for Christ at Cleveland Community College & Christ Covenant Ministries is sponsoring “The Great Pumpkin Chase”! The Race is Saturday, October 25. Register teams by Sunday, October 19. Carved team pumpkin due October 24 at free movie night party at CC Ministries, 7:30pm - 12:00am. Carve it there and stay to fellowship with other racers. The Great Pumpkin Chase is a huge, countywide scavenger hunt like the Amazing Race on TV where your team decorates a pumpkin, they hide it, and teams compete to find their pumpkin first. The Cost is free. Anyone can race. Any group. Major requirements: 1 - You need an adult driver; 2 - All racers must have a working seatbelt in your team’s car. All ages - youth and kids will need supervision. You can be a racer, drive a race team, host a clue site that racers will visit, or help in other ways. Lattimore Baptist Church
Lattimore Baptist Church, 303 Peachtree Road, Lattimore, NC, will host the Lattimore Fall Festival on Saturday, October 25, from 2:00pm - 8:00pm. This is a free event for the entire family and everyone is encouraged to attend. It will include games for kids, trunk-or-treat, food and music. Bluegrass and gospel music will be provided by special guests The Golden Valley Ramblers, King’s Cause, The Foothills Choir, and the Darren Nicholson Band. Headliner Darren Nicholson is a founding member and mandolin player for the nationally acclaimed bluegrass band Balsam Range. In addition to all the festivities, Lattimore Baptist Church will have a BBQ dinner from 4:00pm - 6:30pm to raise money for their recreational facilities. Tickets must be purchased in advance.
