Avis Sanders Hines Bradley, age 90, of Mid Atlantic Road, Mooresboro, NC, died Friday, August 5, 2016 at the Hospice House of Forest City.
Born on November 12, 1925 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late John Rufus Littleberry Hines and Murrie Sanders Hines. Avis was a graduate of Harris High School at the age of 15 graduated from Central Wesleyan Methodist College in 1943 with an Associates degree. She was a member of Hicks Grove Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Talmadge Bradley; a son and his wife, Clark and Sharon Bradley; infant brother, Littleberry Hines; and brother, Marshall Hines.
Survivors include her children, Reverend Robert Bradley and wife Shirley, Reverend Bruce Bradley and wife Marilyn, John Bradley and wife Brenda, and Sharon Bradley and husband Chester. She is also survived by twenty grandchildren, forty-seven great-grandchildren, six great-great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren on the way.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2016 at the Hicks Grove Baptist Church with Reverend Raymond Byrd, Reverend Jerry Hames and Dr. Don McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow in Hicks Grove Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the church.
