Azola Abrams Blanton, 90 born June 21, 1926 in Rutherford County to the late Will & Ada Mills Abrams. She entered into eternal rest August 8, 2016 at Willow Ridge Nursing Home after an extended illness.

After working many years for the Summy family, Azola retired from East High School. She loved her family and the Lord. She also loved people, gardening and flowers.

Left to cherish fond memories are: one Son, Lemuel (Margie) Mosley of Spartanburg, SC.: two daughters, Linda (Walker) McAdoo of Hickory, NC, and Marion (George) Lee of Los Angeles, CA: one sister, Rose Headen of New York, NY, 8 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren and 7 great great grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Fred Blanton and twelve brothers and sisters.

Memorial Service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday August 20, 2016 at Hopewell AME Zion Church, Harris, NC with receiving of friends in the fellowship hall one hour prior to the service.
