Cherryville - Mr. B. Richard Pruitt, 70, of 110 Hester Street, passed away
on Friday, October 26, 2018 at his residence.

Richard was born in Catawba County, NC on July 5, 1948 a son of the late
Bruce Pruitt and Mae Burleson Pruitt. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist
Church in Cherryville. Richard was retired as a division manager with Sears
in Hickory.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, Richard Scott
Pruitt.

Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Brenda H. Pruitt of the home; two
grandchildren, Madison Pruitt and Nicholas Ledford; a sister, Teresa Regan
of Valdese and two brothers, Steve Pruitt of Maiden and David Pruitt of
Claremont.

Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00PM on Sunday, October 27, 2018 at
Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home & Cremation Service.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00PM on Monday, October 28, 2018 at Oak
Grove Baptist Church in Cherryville with the Revs. Travis Mull and Jack
Calloway officiating.

Burial will be in City Memorial Cemetery.
