Barry Lee Bralley, 61, of Forest City, N.C, passed away unexpectedly on December 26th, 2017.

Born in Roanoke, Virginia on August 27, 1956. Barry was the son of the late Clyde Randolph and Frances Mabe Bralley. He grew up in Shelby, N.C., attended Cleveland County Schools, and graduated from James F. Byrnes High School. Barry attended the University of South Carolina, Spartanburg. He worked for over thirty-five years in the sporting goods industry, and was a member of Zion Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Barry is preceded in death by his brother, Wade Bralley. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lisa, beloved son Ryan and wife Lindsay of Polkville, grandsons Mason and Case; brothers Gaylord (Jo) Bralley of Shelby, Chuck (Tammy) Bralley of Catawba; sisters-in-law Barbara Bralley of Calhoun, Georgia, and Lori Toney (Kelly) of Forest City. Also, step-daughter, Kaitlin Harris and fiancé Matt McDaniel of Ellenboro; step-son, Ryan Harris of Asheville; and step-grandchildren, Ryan and Mia Kate McDaniel. Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews; including a special nephew, Patrick Gammons (Laura) of Shelby.

Barry was an avid hunter and gardener, and his happiest days were spent with his son and grandsons. He never met a stranger; his smile and personality lit up a room, and he had a heart of pure gold.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00pm on Saturday, December 30, 2017, at Polkville Baptist Church, with Rev. Rick Hamrick and Rev. Charles Reed officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00pm-4:00pm.
