Mrs. Bertha Pruitt Goins, 97, of 111 Harrilson Rd., Cherryville, NC, passed away Saturday, August 21, 2010. Services were held at Stamey-Cherryville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery. 

Mrs. Goins was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Harvey Goins; and her parents, George Pruitt and Christine Jerrels Pruitt.

She is survived by 1 son, Jerry Goins and wife Mary of Easley; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; 5 step-great-grandchildren; and 1 step great-great-grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: First Baptist Church Christian Outreach Center, 301 E. First St., Cherryville, NC 28021; or to: Hospice Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Dr., Shelby, NC 28150.
