Bertie "Sissy" Elderada Heavner Brown, 68, of 7362 Hull Road, Lawndale,
passed away Wednesday, October 8, 2014 at Catawba Regional Hospice in
Newton.
Born April 21, 1946 in Lincoln County, she was a daughter of the late Webb
Alexander Heavner and Lillian Yarbro Heavner. She was a homemaker and a
member of Bess Chapel United Methodist Church.
Sissy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and loved
nothing more than spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Clyde Thomas Brown; son, Brent
Brown and wife, Trina of Cherryville; daughter, Nikki Snead and husband,
Zach of Columbia, SC; four grandchildren, Alex Brown, Laura Brown, Lilly
Snead and Zachary Snead; two brothers, Ted Heavner and wife, Tammy of
Lincolnton and Tony Heavner and wife, Nina of Vale; and sister, Renee
Hoffman and husband, Steve of Lincolnton.
Visitation: 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday at Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home &
Cremation Center, Fallston
Funeral Service: 1:00 PM, Saturday at Bess Chapel United Methodist Church
Officiating: Rev. Nicholas Rochester, Jr., Rev. Randi Godfrey and Rev. Steve
Houser
Burial: will follow in the church cemetery
