Betty Putnam Sherrer, 87, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away July 4, 2017 at Testa Hospice House. She was born in Cleveland County to the late Walter David Greene and Ethel Maude Parker Greene. She was also preceded in death by husbands David Paul Putnam and Lewis Bud Sherrer, 5 sisters and 1 brother. Betty was an active member of Patterson Grover Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School Teacher, served on the Bereavement and Beautification Committees and helped with Vacation Bible School. Betty was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend who enjoyed helping people in need and loved working in her flowers. She was a volunteer at the Neal Senior Center. She was a devoted Christian and retired from Belk.

4 daughters: Paulette Putnam, Kings Mtn; Sharon Allen and husband Rex, Kings Mtn; Barbara Holcomb, Kings Mtn; Sheila Breckheimer and husband John, Pennsicola, FL

4 Grandchildren: Austin Allen, Karen Beasley, and Savanah Owens and husband Jackson

Sister: Shirley King, Kings Mountain, NC
