Betty Stack to attend The Kellogg Institute

The National Center for Developmental Education, Knewton, and The Kellogg Institute are proud to announce Betty Stack as the winner of this year's Knewton Scholarship to attend the 2018 Kellogg Institute.
"I am excited about the scholarship with regards to learning new ideas from colleges across the country, and bringing those ideas back to CCC," said Stack. "It also provides a gentle nudge in finally completing coursework towards my doctorate in college leadership. We never stop learning or growing- and change is good!"
Stack is the Dean of Arts & Sciences at Cleveland Community College. The Knewton scholarship is highly selective and Stack was chosen from a pool of applicants from colleges and universities across the country.
The 2018 Kellogg Institute for Developmental Educators and Learning Assistance Specialists will be held July 14-27, 2018 on the campus of Appalachian State University in Boone, North Carolina. The scholarship covers all costs associated with the Institute.
The Institute is the nation's longest running professional development program for adult and developmental educators and learning skills specialists, according to its website. It is limited to 45 participants, who come from around the country. During the two-week residency program, participants focus on ways to help students succeed, and develop action plans to address issues at their individual institutions.
