Bible Study: Jesus - The Camel and The Needle’s Eye
Too much talk going on about this subject. First, let’s see why Jesus spoke in Parables. He told the first teachers of his Word that the parables were there for them to understand, meaning that sinners would have to be told what a parable meant or shown by him. A lot has been said about a camel going through a needle from the pulpit. Some refuse to even talk about that. In all cases it is better not to talk about something you don’t understand when you are trying to speak God’s word. Jesus wants us all to get the meaning as this parable teaches us all. We must get into heaven and be with him and the Holy Angels. First let’s look at what they all knew as a needle’s eye. A fence with a gate was built around the land where they lived. You could drive a wagon and horses, and cattle through it in the day time with a watchman if needed. At night time there was no watchman and there was only one way to get through. Get down on all fours and crawl through. This gate was called a needle’s eye. Now Jesus has seen many come in by crawling and they get in. The meaning in the parable is you must submit yourself as a camel goes through the needle’s eye. Our Saviour is saying to humble yourself as a camel does in the right spirit, or be willing to, and your Saviour will save you and you can tell the world that you have been saved by your Saviour Jesus Christ. You will be so proud of what has happened to you that you testify of it and your Lord grants you salvation and then you are on your way to Heaven. He expects you to live right day in and day out.
