SHELBY- Billy Gene Grigg, 80, peacefully went home on Thursday, December 26, 2019 at Atrium Healthcare - Cleveland. Billy was born February 09, 1939 to the late Burgin and Elizabeth Grigg of Cleveland County. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Muriel Devine Grigg; brothers, Boyd Grigg; sister, Evelyn Grigg.

He is survived by his sons, Jeffrey Warren Grigg, wife Jennifer of Bythewood, SC and Howard Wayne Grigg of Shelby. Precious grandchildren, Emily Grigg of Shelby, Mason Grigg of Bythewood, SC, honorary granddaughter, Crystal Brooks and a great-grandson, Bentley of Shelby.

Billy is also survived by brothers, Hugh Grigg and wife Nancy, Garland Grigg and wife, Nancy, Carme Grigg and wife, Dorothy of Shelby and Heyward Grigg and wife, Ella of Cherryville; sister-in-law, Peggy D. Howell, Mabel D. Shepherd, Dorothy D. Tesseneer and husband, John, Vickie D. Jackson, Vallery D. McCoy and husband, Tom and Pamela J. Devine; many nieces and nephews; a very special friend, neighbor and caregiver, Randy Boykins of Shelby.

No formal Funeral Service will be held at the request of Mr. Grigg, however, Jeff and Wayne will receive family and friends on Saturday, December 28, 2019, 3:00 PM-5:00 PM, at Wayne's home, 1352 Williamson Road, Shelby, NC
