Gaffney -- Billy Joe Hughey, 65, of 610 East Jefferies Street, passed away Friday, June 12th, 2015, at Spartanburg Regional Hospice Home.

Born in Gaffney, he was the husband of Connie Hughey and the son of the late Hubert Hughey and Maude Lindsey Hughey. Mr. Hughey retired as a polymer chips manufacturer.

In addition to his wife, surviving Mr. Hughey is one son, Joey Hughey of Spartanburg; two daughters, Melissa Estes and Chris Hughey, both of the home; three sisters, Pat Allison of Gaffney, Elaine Smiley of Gaffney and Alice Clark of Greenville; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.,

In addition to his parents, Mr. Hughey is preceded in death by one brother, Hubert Chesterfield Hughey Jr.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 16th, 2015, from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Gordon Mortuary 400 West Cherokee Street Blacksburg, SC 29702. Memorial services will immediately follow at 11:00 am.
