Billy Patterson, 86, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on October 28, 2018 at Carolinas Health Care System - Kings Mountain. Born in Catawba County, NC, he was the son of the late Yancey W. Patterson and Clois Brice Patterson. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, James and Glenn Patterson and a grandson, Billy Patterson. Billy was the owner/operator of Patterson Auto Parts for 53 years. He was dedicated to his job and enjoyed working as much as he could. He had a heart of gold and has helped countless people and families, by repairing their cars. Billy was known as the best "transmission man" around. He also enjoyed listening to gospel music. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends. The family would like to offer a special thanks to his caregivers, Joyce Kennedy, LaWanda Funderburke, Dawn Little and his niece, Rachael Ogle. They would also like to extend their gratitude to the staff at Kings Mountain Hospital and Hospice of Cleveland County for their hospitality and care during Billy's sickness.
