KINGS MOUNTAIN- Bob Conner, 72, died Thursday, December 20, 2018 at Wellington House in Gastonia. A native of Cleveland Co., he was born to the late Fred and Ollie Hawkins Conner. He was the owner and operator of C&C Coating for over 30 years. He was a loving father and grandfather and will be truly missed. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of fifty years, Macie Ramsey Conner; brother Billy Conner; sister Margaret Wood and great grandson Scotty Hill. He is survived by his son Dennis Welch and wife Norma Jean of Burnt Mills, SC; daughters Debbie Morrison and Brenda Self and husband Steve, both of Kings Mountain' sisters JoNell Gass, Nancy Ross and husband Richard and Freda Barrett, all of Kings Mountain; brother Ronnie Conner and wife Connie of Kings Mountain; grandchildren, Angie Hill, Steven Self and wife Lesly and Brittany Goodson and husband Matthew; great grandchildren Haley Hall and Havynn Goodson. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.Funeral services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, December 29, 2018 in the chapel of Clay-Barnette Kings Mountain Officiating: Rev. Ray Goodson. Burial will follow the service at Mountain Rest Cemetery
