Bob Mode, age 79, of Bostic, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Atrium Health-Cleveland.

Bob was born February 7, 1941 in Cleveland County to the late Hoyt Mode and Zelma Grace Sailors Mode. He was a graduate of Mooresboro High School and Co-owned and operated the B & C Body Shop in Forest City for over twenty-five years. He was an avid golfer and Tar Heel fan and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of twenty-eight years, Gail Marie Mode; son, Joel Scott Mode; grandson, Joshua Pruett and two brothers, Boyce and Jack Mode.

Those left to cherish his memory include two daughters, Kelly Pruett of Bostic and Sonya Mode of Forest City; sisters, Hazel Ayers (Bobby) of Caroleen and Donnis White of Shelby.

The funeral service was conducted at 3:00 pm on Monday, October 12, 2020 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Gail Mason officiating. Interment followed in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family received friends from 6:00 until 8:00 pm on Sunday at the funeral home.
