Bobby L. King, 63, of Kings Mountain, NC, passed away on August 30, 2017 at his home. Born in Cleveland County NC, he was the son of the late Ellis King and Maude Jolly King. He was also preceded in death by sister Barbara King Wright and brothers David King, Jimmy King and Tommy King and nephew Eric Wood. Bobby was a retired Captain from the Kings Mountain Fire Department (1983 - 2015) and Volunteer Firefighter from 1975 -1983. He was awarded the "Order of the Long Leaf Pine" by Governor Pat McCory on July 22, 2015. He was also a former Reserve Deputy with the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office.

SURVIVORS: 2 Sisters: Susan King, Kings Mountain, NC; Janell King Wood and husband John, Bessemer City, NC;

Brother Joe King and wife Terri, Kings Mountain, NC;

Nephews: T.J. King, Wayne King, Scott Wood, Kyle Wood, Greg Wood, Marty King and Phillip King

Nieces: Christine King Brafford, Lisa King Browning and a number of great nieces and nephews

Sisters-In-Law: Patricia King and Amelia King

GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, September 2, 2017, 2:00 PM

VISITATION: 12:30 PM - 1:45 PM prior to the service at the funeral home
