Bonnie Byers Hamrick age 88 died on Friday November 7, 2014 at Carillon Assisted Living in Shelby. Born on March 28, 1926 in Cleveland County she was the daughter of the late Chivous Leslie and Frances Pauline Thompson Byers. She was a graduate of No. 3 High School and Kings Business College and was a lifelong member of Sulphur Springs United Methodist Church. Bonnie and her late husband, Namon Hamrick built Pine Grove Golf Course and operated it until his death.

Bonnie is survived by a sister, Mary Anne Harrill of Shelby and numerous cousins.

Funeral service will be held Monday November 10, 2014 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory with the Rev. Roy T. Byers officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00pm prior to the service.
