 Mrs. Bonnie Dee Wortman McDaniel, 91, of Zoar Church Road, Casar, NC, went peacefully to be with the Lord, Friday, June 11, 2010. Services were held at Pisgah Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. 

Mrs. McDaniel was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Luther McDaniel; her parents, Dempsy McClure and Alice Self Wortman; 1 son, Gene McDaniel; 4 brothers, Clayton, J.C. and Joe Wortman, and an infant brother; and 1 sister, Ollie Wortman.

She is survived by 3 sons, Luther McDaniel and wife Dorothy of Morganton, NC, Bobby Joe McDaniel and wife Jackie, and Steve McDaniel and wife Rosetta, all of Casar, NC; 2 daughters, Helen Lail and husband Arnold of Williamsburg, VA, and Martha Smith and husband Dock of Casar; 1 daughter-in-law, Vertie Lea McDaniel; 2 brothers, James Wortman of Morganton, and Jimmy Wortman and wife Lynn of Waynesville, NC; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Pisgah Baptist Church, 601 Wards Gap Road, Casar, NC 28020.
