Boys and Girls Club of Cleveland County It Just Takes One Annual Campaign
As part of the Chamber of Commerce Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on October 16, children from the Club participate in the ceremony.

It Just Takes One Annual Campaign is the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County's largest fundraiser. Our goal is to have sponsors for 55 children which translates to monetary goal of $55,000.
The Boys & Girls Clubs serves area youth with one mission: To enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. We offer a sense of belonging and provide tools and skill sets necessary to make good choices throughout their lives. Our program priorities focus on Academic Success, Good Character & Citizenship, and Healthy Lifestyles while supporting the Club's mission. However, we cannot do it alone. We need the support of caring people and leaders like you to help us reach children who need us most.
What Will Your Donation Achieve?
Our annual individual fundraising campaign - "It Just Takes One" - is critical to the long term success of the Club. According to a national report on philanthropy, individuals were the major source (75%) for donations in 2014 and this is true for us, too: Individual giving is critical to our success. You could sponsor a child for a year at one thousand dollars, or in the after school program for $600 or a semester for $300, or to sponsor a child in the
Jack & Ruth Schweppe Summer Day Camp at the $400 level. Any level of investment will help us reach our goal. Join us today in our "It Just Takes One Campaign" to support the essential work of the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County. Refurbishment Grant Allows Us to Serve More Children
The Club has gone through a major renovation through a Lowe's Education Foundation Refurbishment Grant and the help of local Lowe's employees who volunteered in the Lowe's Heroes program that allowed the Boys & Girls Club to complete more than $40,000 worth of much needed renovations. These improvements included a secure entrance, a new girl's restroom and a handicap restroom, a food storage room, an arts & crafts room, improved lighting, new carpet and new paint. Supporters of the Club from the community assisted with the project and helped to keep costs down through volunteer labor and donated materials.
Also working on the renovation were Carolina Artisans, Cleveland Lumber, American Restoration, Big Lots, Gardner-Webb Cheerleading, Women's Soccer and Honors Students, Boys & Girls Club Board Members, Spake Concrete, Concrete Supply, Bright Ideas Electric, Dennis Bingham Plumbing, Gene Cochran Flooring, and Lowe's Home Improvement.
The Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County is a 501.C.(3) nonprofit organization serving school-age youth in Cleveland County since 1966.
