Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County receives grant from Duke Energy

Craig DeBrew, of Duke Energy, recently presented a check to the kids and Board members at the Boys & Girls Club of Cleveland County for $8,500 to support programs that focus on "Brain Drain." The after school program and summer day camps work to keep academic skills high by using activities made possible by this grant that include STEM activities and improve reading skills. Items to be purchase with funds from the grant include robotic devices, Legos, chemistry and biology activities, and reading materials to develop critical reading skills.
