Brenda Allen Ramsey, age 75 of Stanley, passed away Thursday, July 26, 2018 at UNC Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was born May 19, 1943 in Cleveland County to Emma Ruth Smith Allen of Gastonia and the late John C. Allen Jr. Brenda was retired from Livingstone Coating Corporation in Charlotte and a member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, was a former piano teacher, and served as organist at several churches throughout the county.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jared C. Ramsey.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, John Allen Davis and wife, Millie of Cragford, AL; daughter, Jerri Allana Bryson and husband, Buster of Shelby; sister, Linda Allen Cardin and husband, Bill of Dallas; and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Shady Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dale Hendricks officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
