Brenda Suttle McEntyre, age 70, of Maple Creek Road, Rutherfordton, died Monday, June 25, 2018 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.
Born March 3, 1948 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late William "Sut" Suttle, Sr. and Martha Wallace Suttle. She was a graduate of East Rutherford High School, class of 1966 and worked as an executive secretary for Fairfield Resort for many years. Brenda also was a beautician and worked for International Enzyme Corporation for several years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, fishing, swimming and traveling. Brenda was a member of Sandy Mush Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Shelly Hollifield and a grandson, Trevor Hollifield.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband and caretaker, Don McEntyre; two brothers, Bill Suttle and wife, Pat of Rutherfordton and Don Weeks and wife, Joyce Ann of Boiling Springs, SC. She is also survived by two nephews, Brannon and Robby Suttle.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on July 1, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Bob Philbeck officiating. Interment will follow in Concord Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
