C D Ledford

Cherryville - Mr. C D Ledford, 90, of Roy Eaker Road, passed away on
Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Hospice at Wendover in Shelby.

C D was born in Cleveland County, NC on March 3, 1924 a son of the late
William Marvin Ledford and Ora Lee Hicks Ledford. He was retired as a
warehouse foreman from Carolina Freight Carriers Corporation of Cherryville
and later worked part-time and retired from Keystone Carbon of Cherryville.
C D also worked for many years with the Cleveland County Fair Association.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Cherryville and the J.L.
Beam Men's Bible Class and also a member of Cherryville Masonic Lodge #505
A.F. & A.M for over 50 years.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years,
Fannie Belle Turner Ledford; a brother, John Russell Ledford and a sister,
Louise Ledford Ellis.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda L. Wehunt and Jim;
Crystal L. Thornburg and Chad all of Cherryville; five grandchildren, Amy
Wehunt Dyson and husband, Brent; Travis Wehunt and wife Anne; Justin
Thornburg and wife Holly; Ryan Thornburg and wife Jessica and Leslie
Thornburg and also 10 great grandchildren all of Cherryville.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2015 from 12:30 - 1:45PM at
First United Methodist Church in Cherryville and at other times the family
will be at the home of Crystal & Chad Thornburg, 101 Farmwood Dr.
Cherryville.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00PM Friday at First United Methodist
Church with the Rev. Rick Fite officiating.

Burial will be in Cherryville City Memorial Cemetery with Full Masonic
Rites.

Cherryville, NC 28021 or to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover
Heights Dr. Shelby, NC 28150.
