Carolyn Sue Hargett Morris, 84, of 1040 St. Paul Church Rd., Casar, passed
away Thursday December 11, 2014 at Carrington Place in Daleville, Virginia.
Born March 31,1930 in Cabarrus County, she was the daughter of the late
Johnie A. Hargett and Lois E. Taylor Hargett Brooks. She graduated from
Marion College in Marion, IN and taught school for over twenty five years.
Mrs. Morris was a member of Casar United Methodist Church where she played
the piano until her health began declining.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George
Hubert Morris, Jr, stepfather, Harold Brooks, Sr., stepdaughter, Bonnie
Hilfer, and brother, Ben M. Hargett.
Survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law, Michael Howard & Dorcas Cecil
of Raleigh, Greg & Sharon Harrison of Crownsville, MD, daughter &
son-in-law, Judy & Harvey Parker of Roanoke, VA, five stepsons, Freddie
Morris, Ronnie Morris, Michael Kenneth Morris, Glenn Morris and Mark Morris,
three stepdaughters and son-in-law, Sherry Hoss, Vicki & Randy Gardner, and
Kathy Lott, brother, Harold Brooks, Jr., numerous grandchildren,
stepgrandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces
and nephews.
Visitation will be Sunday December 14, 2014 from 5:00PM until 7:00PM at
Stamey Tysinger Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
The funeral service will be Monday at 11:00AM at Casar United Methodist
Church with Rev. Bill Lovelace officiating. The body will be placed in the
church thirty minutes prior to the service.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
