Charles Buddy “Pillow Man” Haynes
Charles Buddy “Pillow Man” Haynes, 79, of Goodes Creek Church Road, Mooresboro, died on Sunday, September 28, 2014 at SECU Hospice House of Rutherford County, a native of Rutherford County, he was born on October 26, 1934, a son of the late Clarence and Nola Bridges Haynes. He was retired from Cone Mills Corporation - Cliffside Plant after 47 years of service. He was a member of Cliffside Baptist Church and loved to go to flea markets and work on bikes.
 
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Haynes and one grandchild, Heather Nolen. He is survived by his wife, Hilda Tessneer Haynes; one son, Charles Dennis Haynes and wife Janet of Cliffside; one daughter, Susie Ledford and husband John of Spindale; three step-sons, Larry Blanton and wife Shellie, Shannon Blanton and wife Jen, all of Boiling Springs, NC, and Terry Blanton and wife Marissa of Patterson Springs; one step-daughter, Tammy Blanton and Robbie Toney of Boiling Springs; one brother, George Haynes of Forest City; one sister, Dorothy Dixon and husband Ralph of Spindale; his grandchildren, Holly Guffey, Stephanie Haynes, Jayson Haynes, Casey Haynes; two special step-grandchildren, Kristi Toney, Tyler Blanton; 14 step-grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
 
Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, October 02, 2014 at Cliffside Baptist Church with the Rev. Joey Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Park. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
