Cindy Bumgarner Cobb, age 56 of Vista Dr. passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016 at her residence. She was born on March 31, 1960 in Gaston County to Peggy Boyles Bumgarner of Cherryville and the late Merle George Bumgarner. Cindy was a member of First Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Dr. Cordell Scott dentistry, Carolina Freight, and Eugene Grigg's law firm. She was currently employed as a billing clerk for the City of Cherryville. Cindy was an avid golfer and former member of Cherryville Country Club. She loved dancing and belonged to the Shelby Shaggers.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her beloved son, Alan Cobb (Summer Dellinger Sparrow) of Cherryville; grandchildren, Kayley and Holden; sisters, Sheree B. Jackson (Doug) and Jodi Bumgarner; and nephew, Seth Jackson.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, July 24, 2016 at 4:00 PM at Carpenter's Funeral & Cremation Services with Rev. David Day officiating. Burial will follow at City Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 to 3:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.
