City Park offers unique way to celebrate Valentine's Day
At last year's Valentine's Luncheon, Kathy Woody of "Dressings On The Side" Catering, flanked by Mary Jane Darr and Jackie Sibley with the meal prepared especially for the Carrousel event.

Lunch at the City Park's Carrousel has to be one of the most unique and fun ways to celebrate Valentine's Day!
For the ninth year, families, youngsters, couples, and special groups can join in a historic merry-go-round setting at the pride and joy of Shelby's City Park, the one of a kind Carrousel. There will be live music provided by Eddie Cook and a great luncheon set around the silent coral of horses and lights inside the carrousel.
The menu includes: homemade vegetable soup, fresh deli sandwich, salad with homemade dressing, fresh fruit, dessert bar and warm cider or tea. It's not only delicious, it's very accomodating. After the luncheon is completed and the music has stopped, everyone gets a special treat, a free ride on the carrousel.
Everyone is invited to this special event at the Anne Dover Bailey Carrousel Pavilion. Reservations are highly recommended to assure yourself that you will have a table waiting. This year's event will be held 11:30am to 1:30pm on Friday, February 13th. Because there are limitations on space, it's important that you call 704-484-6476 now to make your reservation. The price is a very reasonable at $11 per person. - M. A. Andrews
