Civil Air Patrol news...
Cadet Ryan Buckton

The Shelby Civil Air Patrol has two exciting events coming up in August 2017 for youth (12 and up) and adults who would like to participate and learn more about the Civil Air Patrol program.
On August 1st, 2017 at the Shelby Composite Squadron, cadets will be participating in a K-9 demonstration and discussion about drug prevention and awareness. The second event will be on August 7th, 2017 at Mauney Memorial Library in Kings Mountain where the Civil Air Patrol cadets will have an information booth and Flight Sergeant Anthony Vagnozzi will be teaching a workshop about a program called Operation Gratitude. Operation Gratitude is where teens and adults learn how to make survival bracelets for the military, write support letters, and discuss ways to help support our men and women in uniform.
The Civil Air Patrol in Shelby is a unique program for youth and adults. Want to become a volunteer leader and citizen serving your community and nation? We would like interested teens (12 and up) and adults to come out to either of these events. For more information you can visit us on facebook at http://www.facebook.com/capshelbysquadron/ or you can call Cheryl Vagnozzi, CAP PAO at 704 739-4070.
