Clara Dell Foster Gantt, 67, of shoal Rd., died Jan. 13, 2015 at the Robin Johnson House. She was born in Cleveland co. a daughter of the late Lee Junior and Jiner Smith Foster. Mrs. Gantt was a member of First Baptist Church of Crouse and was retired bookkeeper from Sands Fiber in Gastonia. She enjoyed traveling to hear Gospel Music, and going to the beach and finding Shells and Sharks teeth.

In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by two brothers John and Marvin Foster.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years Ted. D. Gantt, son Mike Gantt and wife Denise of Crouse, two grandchildren Lisa Gantt and Chris Gibson, three sisters Frances Walters, of Lincolnton, Betty Davis, Lincolnton and Margaret Byrum of Lincolnton , and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held Wednesday at 7:30 PM at Carpenters Funeral and Cremation Services with Rev. Darrell Bost and Rev. Ken Faulkenbury officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wed. from 6-7:30 PM and at other times at the home.
