Claude Riddick Howell, age 81 of Harrilson Rd. passed away Saturday, November 12, 2016 at Carolina Care Center. He was born on December 11, 1934 in Suffolk, Virginia to the late Roscus Claude "Buddy" and Ella Riddick Howell. He graduated from Stanton School for the Deaf and Blind. He was employed for a number of years at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Norfolk, VA in the Cafeteria. Claude enjoyed doing handcrafts and creating decorative arts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Anna Brundage.
He is survived by his brother, Jim Howell and wife, Laurel of Pentwater, MI and Cincinnati, OH.
Private services will be held at a later date where he will be laid to rest at Western Branch Baptist Church Cemetery in Suffolk, VA.
