Wednesday, June 25, 2014 11:50 am Claude Robert “Bob” Hughes, age 94, resident of Dunnellon, FL passed away June 22, 2014 at the Citrus Hospice House, Lecanto, FL. Mr. Hughes, the youngest of twelve children, was born April 27, 1920 in Kings Mountain, NC to the late William Gordon Hughes and Florence (Wells) Hughes. Bob and his family moved to Florida in 1961. He was a retired ranch and farm manager who served our country in the United States Army during World War II. He was a long-time deacon at First Baptist Church, Dunnellon and is currently a member of Maranatha Baptist Church, Ocala, FL. SURVIVORS: Wife of 73 years: Sue Franklin Hughes, Dunnellon, FL; Sons: James Hughes and wife Carolyn, Inverness, FL; Buddy Lee Hughes and wife Wylene, Six Mile, SC; Daughter: Bobbie Sue Brown and husband Richard, Jacksonville, FL; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
