Cleveland County Public Health Center dedication ceremony held

State and county officials dedicated the new $19 million Cleveland County Public Health Center last Tuesday, April 5. The facility, which offers 18 services to county residents located at 200 S. Post Road in Shelby, opened its doors March 7, 2016.
Jason Falls, chairman of the Cleveland County Board of Commissioners, welcoming the more than 100 people attending, said public health remains a priority in the county. N.C. Speaker of the House Tim Moore, among speakers at the event, presented the flags to Health Director Dorthea Wyant.
Hundreds of community members attended an open house at the beautiful facility on the following Sunday afternoon which featured a tour of the building.
