Colleen Pate Allison, age 86, of Forest City, died Wednesday, December 17, 2014 at the Forest City Health & Rehabilitation Center.
Born August 19, 1928 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter to the late B. C. Pate and Carrie Flynn Pate. Colleen was a graduate of Tri-High School, class of 1945 and worked for Cone Mills and General Fireproofing Industries for several years. She was of the Baptist faith and loved her pets.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon “Susie” Wall of Forest City; two sons, Michael Edward Cain and wife, LeAnn of Las Cruces, New Mexico and Chris Allison and wife, Sharon Hamrick-Allison of Forest City. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Tanya Shehan and husband, Rex, Todd Fox, Renee Brown, Scott Ridings and wife, Betsy, Dixie Lee Cain and Lindsey Allison; six great-grandchildren, Shala Barnette, Loren Shehan, Brittany Brown, Sabrina Ridings, Michael Brown and Shawn Ridings.
Funeral services will be conducted at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, December 19, 2014 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dale Austin officiating. Interment will be private in High Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
