Colleen Wray Billings, 89, 287 Wren Wray Road, Blacksburg, SC, went home to be with her Lord, February 11, 2017, at Brookview House, Gaffney, SC. Born in Cherokee County, SC, she was married to the late Carter Goodson Billings. She was a daughter of the late James G. and Bessie Wisher Wray. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Blacksburg. She retired from Brookview House.
Left to cherish her memory are three sons - James Billings and wife, Cheryl, of Blacksburg, SC, John Billings and wife, Connie, of Spartanburg, SC, and William Billings of Fayetteville, NC; three grandchildren - Michael Billings and wife, Katie, of Gaffney, SC, Eric Billings of Rutherfordton, NC, and Christie Billings of Spartanburg, SC; four great-grandchildren - Damian Baynard and Carter Billings both of Rutherfordton, NC, Abbygail - Faith Billings and Noah Billings both of Gaffney, SC; two brothers - Marvin Wray and wife, Hazel, and Kenneth Wray and wife, Judy, all of Blacksburg, SC; and one sister - Margie Ledbetter of Shelby, NC.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 14, 2017, 11-11:30 AM, at First Baptist Church of Blacksburg. A Celebration Of Life Service will begin at 11:30 AM, with Revs. Terry Duvall and Broadus Heatherly officiating. Burial will follow at Clingman Memorial Gardens. At other times, the family will be at the home of James and Cheryl, 305 Wren Wray Road, Blacksburg, SC.
Pallbearers serving are Michael Billings, Eric Billings, Ricky Ledbetter, Michael Ledbetter, Jamie Ledbetter and Terry Stacey.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
