Daisy Earls
Daisy Earls, age 84, of Cliffside, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at her residence.
Born September 26, 1932 in Rutherford County, she was a daughter to the late Sam Spears and Essie Dobbins Spears. Daisy was a homemaker who loved her family dearly. She worked for Cone Mills for several years and was actively involved in the community. She participated in softball and was also a league bowler for forty years. Daisy immensely enjoyed coaching Little League girl's softball and was also a longtime member of Cliffside Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, E.J. Bridges and her second husband of forty-five years, Bobby Earls; son, Roger Bridges; sister, Marjorie Dixon and four brothers, Bill, Buck, James and Luther Spears.
Those left to cherish her memory include one son, Ronnie Bridges and wife, Roberta of Cliffside; daughter-in-law, Brenda Bridges of Caroleen; three grandchildren, Sandy Bridges, Tracy Oliver (Brad) and Regina Bridges; seven great-grandchildren, Ashley Woodbridge (Lee), Dillon Oliver (Misty), Wade Dotson, Kayla Oliver Campbell (Kevin), Jessica Perez (Josh), Monica Bailey, Rebecca Dotson and four great-great-grandchildren, Haden Oliver, Leah Woodbridge, Skylar Oliver and Josiphina Perez.
The funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 15, 2017 with Reverend Mike Elgin and Reverend Sam Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Rutherford County Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. At other times they will be gathered at 206 Cliffside Street.
The family wishes to thank the staff of caregivers at Hospice for their love and compassionate care given to Daisy and to the entire family.
