Dale Eaker, 71, of Lawndale, NC, was called home to be with the Lord on February 12,
2015.

He was born June 10, 1943 in Cleveland County, NC, the son of the late
Maurice and Lucy Eaker. Dale was a devoted and loving husband, father and
grandfather. He was a well-liked man with a great sense of humor. He loved
the Lord, his family, and his friends.
He served honorably in the US Air Force and later earned an associate's
degree in Industrial Management from Cleveland Community College. He was a
dedicated member of Lawndale Baptist Church and Lawndale Masonic Lodge 486.
Dale worked many years for Young Brothers Furniture and made many long
lasting friendships there. In 1991 Dale and his wife Pat opened Eaker's
Supermarket. He always enjoyed joking with his customers and never met a
stranger. After retiring, he enjoyed being with his family and participating
in his hobbies of woodworking and photography.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers; Bob Eaker and Don Eaker.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Pat Eaker; Son Bryan Eaker
and his wife Tammy; Grandson Alex Eaker; Grandaughter Megan Eaker; Sister
Nell Genco; Niece Jeannie Blanton and her husband Bill Blanton;
Sister-in-law Betty Jo Eaker; Nephews Andy Eaker, Scott Eaker, Wes Eaker,
Rick Wallace and their families.

Visitation of family and friends will be at 10:00am on Monday, February 16
at Lawndale Baptist Church.

A celebration of life service will begin at 11:00am on Monday, February 16
at Lawndale Baptist Church.

The family requests that memorial gifts be made to Hospice of Cleveland
County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150
