Danny Timothy “Buck” Robertson, 54, departed his earthly life on Sunday, April 20, 2014 at Hospice Wendover. Born on July 23, 1959 in Spartanburg SC to the parents of Florence Dill Whitfield and Jerry Franklin Robertson and wife Deanne Keeter Robertson. He is preceded in death by his grandparents; William Britt Robertson and Cassie Seay Robertson and Mr. and Mrs. Franklin D. Dill; father-in-law, Red Johnson; sister-in-law, Cathi Johnson; nephew, Nathan Lane.

Buck is survived by his wife of 29 years, Kathy Johnson Robertson; brother, Bill Robertson and wife Cathy; two step brothers, Sonny Davis (Debbie), and Morris Davis (Lisa);  nieces, Amy Robertson, Kellie (Chad) Rick, Anissa (Steven) Kozicki; nephews, Shane, Zac, Jonathan (Ashley) Johnson, Rodney (Ronda) Chris (Stephanie) Hamrick; Ashley, Shawn  (Jana), Mitchell, and Jed Davis; special aunt, Mary Avery; mother-in-law, Mona Johnson; three brothers-in-law, Dennis , Cliff (Linda), Jeff Johnson (Wanda);  and many great nieces and nephews.

Buck loved NASCAR, collecting Elvis memorabilia and watching the Green Bay Packers. Buck had the best sense of humor and always kept those around him laughing even to the end. Later in life Buck had many health problems but he did not loose his sense of humor. He loved to be surrounded by his friends and family. He worked many years with SACO plumbing supply, Robertson electrical controls and various construction jobs. Buck was a member of the Shelby church of Christ.

We would like to thank all of the nurses at Hospice for the excellent care they gave to Buck during his final days.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at the Chapel of Cecil M Burton Funeral Home & Crematory with Pastor Terry Graves officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30 - 11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home. At other times the family will be at the home of Kathy Robertson, 226 Christopher Road, Shelby. Burial will follow at Westview Gardens in Bessemer City, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Shelby church of Christ 845 West Warren St. Shelby or Hospice Wendover, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby, NC 28150.
