Deanne Keeter Robertson, age 87, died Wednesday, August 10, 2016 at her home. Born in Cleveland County on March 10, 1929 she was the daughter of the late Hoyt Simpson Keeter, Sr. and Dorothy Vernon Bridges Keeter. Deanne was a member of First Baptist Church where she served on the Lord's Supper Committee. She worked as a bookkeeper for Keeter Ford and then with her husband at Robertson Controls. Deanne enjoyed traveling and spending time at the beach. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Robertson and a brother, H. S. Keeter, Jr.

Deanne is survived by two sons, Sonny Davis and wife Debbie of Shelby, and Morris Davis and wife Lisa of Gainesville, VA; step-son, Bill Robertson and wife Cathy of Shelby; two sisters, Billie Kathryn Coffee and husband Demetrius of Marietta, GA, and Millie Holbrook and husband Eddie of Shelby; a daughter-in-law Kathy Robertson of Shelby and several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The family thanks special friends Mary Ann Minor and Grace Constant for the continued love and devotion they showed Deanne. The family is also grateful to Helping Hands Nursing who provided Deanne with care for the last seven years.

Funeral service will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 at 2:00 pm at in the chapel of Cecil M. Burton Funeral Home and Crematory, with Rev. Perry Holloman officiating. The family will receive friends an hour before the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Burial will be private at Cleveland Memorial Park.
