Diane Henson, age 66, of Mooresboro, died Monday, April 16, 2018 at the Duke University Hospital.

Born February 28, 1952 in Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Willie Moore and Nellie Scruggs Moore. She was a graduate of Chase High School, class of 1969 and worked for Cone Mills-Cliffside Plant for over twenty years. Diane was a member of Goodes Creek Baptist Church and enjoyed watching Soap Operas and playing bingo. She was a dedicated wife and mother who especially loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Charles, Bob and Vernon Moore; two sisters, Kathy Moore Harris and Mary Helen Moore and sister-in-law, Joann Moore.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of forty-eight years, Jr. Henson; two daughters, Kimberly Henson and Crissy Biddy both of Cliffside; one son, Jody Henson also of Cliffside; two brothers, Vic Moore and wife, Carolyn of Mooresboro and Jimmy Moore of Forest City; four grandsons, Christopher Henson (Alicia), Brannan Henson (Julie), Jordan Cuthbertson, Gavin Biddy and two great-grandchildren, Zade Henson and Quinn Henson. She is also survived by special friends of the family, the White family and Kathy Luckadoo Ross and a number of nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at the Harrelson Funeral Chapel with Reverend Sam Henderson and Reverend Jody Henson officiating. Interment will follow at Cliffside Cemetery with Reverend Chad Hayes in charge of the committal service. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time at the funeral home.
