Diane Moss Martin, 72, of Bridges Dairy Road, Polkville, passed away
Thursday, May 18, 2017 at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte.

Born July 11, 1945 in Blacksburg, South Carolina, she was a daughter of the
late Pierce Moss and Bell Northey Moss. She was retired from Burns High
School and was a member of Big Springs Baptist Church, WMU, Truth Seekers
Sunday School Class and Burns Burnouts.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of
forty-five years, Rev. Thomas Alton Martin and brother, Roy Dean Moss.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Carol Martin of
Polkville; daughter and son-in-law, Shannon and Donnie Mayhew of Polkville;
five grandchildren, Ethan Martin, Caroline Martin, Corey Smith, Storm Smith,
and Marina Smith; three step grandchildren, BJ Mayhew, Aaron Mayhew, and
Kari Mayhew and three sisters, Thelma Perry and Selma Painter both of
Gaffney and Joyce Childers of Blacksburg.

The family will receive friends on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at
Stamey-Tysinger Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be on Sunday, 3:00 PM at Big Springs Baptist Church
with Rev. Paul Scott and Rev. Ricky D. Martin officiating.

The burial will follow the service in Polkville Baptist Church Cemetery.
