Diane Wright Heavner, age 73 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at her residence. She was born October 4, 1943 in Cleveland County to Roscoe Patterson Wright and Helen Cook Wright. Diane graduated from Shelby High School, attended Gardner Webb College, was owner of Fashionette Beauty Salon, and retired from Belk. She was a member of Putnam Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Danny Patterson Wright.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, Landrum "Pete" Heavner; sons, Scott Eaker and wife, Libby, and Brent Eaker; step-sons, Scott Heavner and wife, Jan, Steve Heavner, and Stacy Heavner and wife, Meredith; sister, Donna Russ; twelve grandchildren; and one great grandson.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Putnam Baptist Church with Rev. Bryan Glisson officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 1:00 to 1:45 PM prior to the service at the church.
