Doris Tesseneer Champion

SHELBY- Doris Tesseneer Champion, 85, died Friday, July 8, 2016, at White Oak Manor of Kings Mountain. A native of Rutherford County, she was the daughter of the late Fay and Addie Horne Tesseneer. She retired from Mauney Hosiery of Kings Mountain, and was a member of Putnam Memorial Baptist Church.

PRECEDED: In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl "Gene" Champion; grandson, Darrel Aycoth; stepdaughter, Patsy Aycoth; sister, Maude Allison.

SURVIVED: She is survived by her sons, Miles Champion of Shelby, and Randy Champion and wife Virginia of Gaffney; sisters, Irene Waters of Forest City, and Laura Mae Biggerstaff of Caroleen; brother, John Tesseneer and wife Kim of Shelby; grandchildren, Teresa Edwards, James Champion, Hope Hill, Faith Champion, and Miles Champion II.

FUNERAL SERVICES: Funeral services will be held 2pm, Monday, at Clay-Barnette Funeral Home Chapel

VISITATION: The family will receive friends Monday, 12:30-2pm, at the funeral home.

BURIAL: will follow in Sunset Cemetery
